Mo Willems Day

Last Friday our class celebrated Mo Willems day. Mo Willems is a famous author and illustrator. He is the author of the Pigeon and Elephant and Piggie Books.

We had our faces painted as the Mo Willems characters. We made pigeon and duckling finger puppets.

We made Gerald and Piggie hats for Read to Someone. At the end of the day, we ate popcorn while we listened to a story. It was an awesome and cool day that felt like a party!

  1. Dear Room 7,

We liked looking at your face painting! We wonder how long it took to paint each face?

What is your favorite Mo Williams book?

    1. Dear Ms. Moffatt and Room 25,

      We miss you Ms. Moffatt!

Depending on the design we chose our face painting took us 2-5 minutes.

We had a lot of favorite Mo Willems books but really liked "We are in a Book", "Should I Share my Ice Cream?" and "Don't Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late".

    Wow Room 7
You look like you know parties.
Your party looks as fun as a fancy pool costume party!
I would love to get invited to a fancy school face paint party too!

    Happy Mo Willems reading,
    Mr. FB
