Go Jets Go!

This morning our whole school rode on a school bus to the Jets practice at the MTS Centre. When we arrived, we got to give Mick E. Moose a big hug. After we each got a snack and a Mick E. Moose card. When the Jets came onto the ice we all cheered! The players were all wearing their practice jerseys. The practice jerseys were different colours. We were excited to see some of our favourite players up close!

We had a really fun time at the Jets practice!

Go! Jets! Go!

Our First Blog Post

We are like a family in our class. We see each other everyday and that is what makes us like a family. We help each other and are kind. We share. We respect our family and the things in our classroom.

Everyday we learn new things. We are looking forward to learning new things in math (especially Caleb).

School is fun! We have fun in our class!

We love school! It is cool to be in school!

Some of our favourite things we did were:
   1. Play in the water table.
   2. Explore the train.
   3. Play in the lasagna lookout.
   4. Make crafts with reusable materials.
   5. See different optical illusions.
   6. Play with the crane.
   7. Send pom poms through the pipes.

We loved sliding down the optical illusion slide!
Sitting in a can of tomatoes at the lasagna lookout.
Playing at the water table. Look at the ball float.

Making Jell-O

Today in our classroom, we discovered what happens when you mix a solid with a liquid.  What happened produced some delicious results!

In order to make our jell-o, we followed the following steps:

1. Put the jell-o powder into the bowl

2. Boil water to 100 degrees celsius.

3. Mix together 2 cups of hot water and powder.

4. Measure 2 cups of cold water and add it to our mixture.

5. Put it into the small cups.

6. Bring cups to the kitchen and put them in the fridge.

7. Wait

8. Eat the jell-o!

We had lots of fun making and eating our jell-o in room 7.

Stirring up our mixture.

Justice busy taking notes...look at those finger spaces!

Careful not to spill!

Our Favourite Book

For I Love to Read Month, all of the classes in our school are decorating their classroom doors as the cover of their favourite book. In our class we had a vote to decide on our favourite story. We chose "We Are In A Book" by Mo Willems. It is a really funny book and we would recommend it to others. Mo Willems is one of our favourite authors.
