Footprints

We had TIA today. In TIA, we did print making. We made people out of different shapes. We got to put designs on our plates and use any colour we want. A plate is a piece of styrofoam that you use  in print making.

While some people were doing their print making, Mrs. Muir and Mrs. Squires called students to come print their feet on our class canvas.

We had to sit down on a chair and Mrs. Squires rolled paint on our foot.

We had to hop on one foot over to the canvas and put our footprint on the canvas we painted last week.

We then had to hop on one foot over to a bucket of water and wash our feet. After we dried our foot with a towel.

We love TIA and had a fun time!!!

Making Gak

This morning we discovered a new science activity. Our class made Gak which feels like slime. To make our Gak we used:
       - one cup of cornstarch
      - 1/2 cup of water
      - food colouring
We poured all of the ingredients into a bowl and mixed them together. We used some blue and green colours to make ours.

Then we played with the Gak and touched it.

When you moved your hands around, the Gak got hard like a solid. When you spread your fingers apart and made your hands stiff, the Gak oozed down.

We loved playing with the Gak!

Go Jets Go!

This morning our whole school rode on a school bus to the Jets practice at the MTS Centre. When we arrived, we got to give Mick E. Moose a big hug. After we each got a snack and a Mick E. Moose card. When the Jets came onto the ice we all cheered! The players were all wearing their practice jerseys. The practice jerseys were different colours. We were excited to see some of our favourite players up close!

We had a really fun time at the Jets practice!

Go! Jets! Go!

Our First Blog Post

We are like a family in our class. We see each other everyday and that is what makes us like a family. We help each other and are kind. We share. We respect our family and the things in our classroom.

Everyday we learn new things. We are looking forward to learning new things in math (especially Caleb).

School is fun! We have fun in our class!

We love school! It is cool to be in school!
